DIY Paper Quilling Rakhi/ How to make Rakhi at Home

Materials needed:

Colored paper strips (preferably in different colors)

Glue

Scissors

Pencil or quilling tool (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Take a colored paper strip and fold it in half to form a loop.
  2. Apply a small amount of glue at the end of the strip to secure the loop.
  3. Take another colored strip and start rolling it tightly from one end. This will form a coil.
  4. Apply glue at the end of the coil to secure it.
  5. Gently press the coil to flatten it slightly.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 with different colored strips to create more coils.
  7. Arrange the coils in different shapes and patterns on a flat surface.
  8. Once you’re satisfied with the design, apply glue to the back of each coil and stick them together to form a decorative pattern.
  9. Cut a small piece of colored strip to create a loop for tying the Rakhi.
  10. Attach the loop to the back of the decorative pattern using glue.
  11. Allow the Rakhi to dry completely before using it.
